About The City :
In the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, Trichy is a significant tier II city and serves as the district's administrative center. In addition to being the cleanest city in Tamil Nadu, the city is regarded as the most livable and the sixth safest for women in all of India. It is the state's fourth-largest urban agglomeration and fourth-largest city combined. Tiruchirappalli, 322 km (200 mi) south of Chennai and 374 km (232 mi) north of Kanyakumari, is situated nearly in the geographic center of the state of Tamil Nadu. The Kaveri River divides into two 16 kilometers (9.9 mi) west of the city, establishing the island of Srirangam, which is currently part of the Tiruchirappalli City Municipal Corporation. This is where the Cauvery Delta starts. There were 916,857 people living in the 167.23 square kilometer (64.57 square mile) city as of 2011.
