Abstract :

Innovation is a huge challenge for companies, particularly those that rely on having state of the art products in order to stay in business. Those teams that incorporate Systems Thinking (big picture thinking) into their working processes are the teams that are effective when it comes to implementing new innovation. These teams have to plan and coordinate with many other departments, both before and during the implementation process. They can only do this effectively by being able to take different perspectives and integrate those perspectives into the overall strategy of the company going forward. This presentation will focus on the leadership qualities and behaviors required at different stages of innovation and how these involve cross-functional teams and the organization as a whole.
